There is a fine balance between ‘skill’ and ‘motivation’.
Some people have a high level of skill paired up with a low level of motivation. In contrast, others might have a low level of skill paired up with a high level of motivation. Oftentimes, there’s even a happy medium in between.
Our goal is to find where an individual is currently at in these areas – that’s the nature of what we do as coaches. Training goes beyond just what happens in the gym though; it’s a mental approach. As coaches, we’re looking to help an individual get to where they need to be through training.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to positive changes to lifestyle and behavior. Truly, it’s a shift in mindset to work hard to achieve your goals – and above all – remain consistent in the process. Adhering to the system and developing a routine ultimately lays the foundation down for a smooth process.
Training means stepping out of your comfort zone. It also means being comfortable with being uncomfortable. Challenge is needed for positive change to occur, and also serves as a necessary roadblock to overcome. Overcoming challenges on a consistent basis helps to foster a strong mindset. This strong mental approach, one that understands that the task at hand must be completed, aids in consistency for the long run.
It’s important to understand that mental strength and fortitude are just as important (if not more important) than physical strength. People are stronger and much more capable than they think they are. We’re here to help people see this, and help them write their life story.
